The following is a list of the equipment that Metal Fusion uses to complete our aviation oriented tasks.  All equipment is owned by Metal Fusion, and is in excellent condition.  All work is performed on site in our modern 4,000 square foot, concrete tilt-up building.

METAL SPRAY EQUIPMENT

(All 1987 and later).  2 each, 8'x12' Dry  Cartridge Dust Collector Spray Booths; Metco 40Kw and Metco 80Kw Plasma Spray Systems; Tafa 9000 Dual Wire Arc System; Metco 6P-II Thermal Spray System; Metco 12E Combustion Wire Metalizing Gun. All powder systems utilize the latest technology, Metco 4MP Semi-Fluidized Bed w/Digital Feed Rate Technology.  Process monitoring instruments include Digital RPM Meters and Certified Temperature Reading Instruments. All metal spraying is performed to the following specifications as they apply: Mil-W6712C; Mil-M-6874; Mil-Std-869C; Mil-Std-1687A and Mil-P-83348A.  We will also work to a manufacturer's or customer' specification as required.  Metal Fusion uses testing labs certified to test metal spray samples and welding samples to Mil-Spec requirements or manufactures' requirements.

 

COATING PROCESS SUPPORT EQUIPMENT

Vapor Degreaser: Baron Blakeslee, 1996 Grieve Oven 36"x48"x48" w/Digital Meters, Certified to NIST, 550 Degrees Max.  1986 (4) Pauli and Griffin Grit Blast Cabinets 48"x48" w/Regulated Air Pressure to 110 psi. and Dust Filtering System.   Grit Types: Glass Bead; 25/40 Steel Angular; 25 Mesh and 60 Mesh Aluminum Oxide.  Atlas 20 HP Rotary Air Compressor w/Dryer and Filtering System, 2001.  Kaeser SK25/20HP Rotary Air Compressor w/Air Dryer and Air Filtering System, 1984.

 

FABRICATING AND TESTING EQUIPMENT

Merlin 15C Plasma Cutting System. Miller 300 amp TIG Syncrowave Welder/Programmer, Meters and Pulser.  TIG & Pulse TIG capacity 380 amp Miller TIG Welder.  All 1984 or later.  All welding performed to Mil-Std-2219.  Magnaflux Zyglo Penetrant Inspection System, Certified to meet NAS 410D and Mil-Std06866, 1985.  All operators Tested and Certified to meet customers requirements or to Mil-Std-2219.

 

PLATING EQUIPMENT

Selectron Model 6035, 60 amp. power supply per Mil-Std-QQN290.
